Letters from Love To Those Who 'Lack Persistence'

An Encouraging Zine

Standing on your hoard of unfinished projects, You see only 'lack of follow-through.' Look again. There are genies waiting to be freed (with just a polish of your sleeve).

But you're a seeker. You're a dreamer. And you persist seeking and dreaming. You can't help it. And persistently you've begun again. Took another run at it. Determined and persistent persisting, Unrecognised. So determined sometimes you burn too bright, too fast and melt. But then you rest and return. Nothing is wasted.
So next time you hear them celebrate, Congratulate persistence and determination, Let that part of you raise its hand And Claim the title name.

(Who is more miraculously persistent and determined Than the one who tries again, Even after they've given up, Even after they've slipped Down a snake, To square one? Who is more faithful Than the one with so much Reason to doubt There are ladders?)
You are the embodiment of persistence. So keep dreaming. Keep holding hands with your creativity. Gently, not squeezing as you come to create, but interlinking fingertips With the dreamer.

Thanks

, for the idea of inviting Love to write us letters.

I’m not convinced the formatting of this poem will work, but in the spirit of imperfection, I’m going to just let the tech gods roll the dice on that.
